The Journey Begins July 12th

Ready to Build the partnership of your dreams?

You get the right partner, it'll change your life.
You get the wrong partner, that'll change your life too.

The dental industry is plagued with broken partnership models.

Let's make sure you're never part of one.

The longer you wait to bring in a partner, the greater your need will be.

The person with the most need always loses.

" A complete mindset shift for me"

Working with Alastair has created a complete mindset shift for me. I ask better questions, get better answers, and make better decisions because of his mentorship. He invites his clients to create a bigger vision for themselves without looking to society for the answers. Because of this, I've learned to trust my instincts as a business owner and leader. The return for my investment of time coaching with him has shown up, not just in financial freedom but in personal and time freedom as well. Learning to build a life by choice, not obligation, has changed the game for me and my family.

-Dr. Summer Kassmel, DDS

"A unique ability to teach others"

The list of individuals who have been able to start and run multimillion dollar businesses, on both hemispheres, starting as a teenager, is very short. An even shorter list would include individuals who were not satisfied with that level of success, realizing there is more to living than financial gain and developing a system for predictably bringing purpose and meaning to ones personal and professional life. Finally the shortest list of all, individuals who can do all of that yet have the unique ability to teach others to do the same. An extremely rare skill set. Alastair is at the top of that very short list. His ability to teach and communicate the most complex lessons in an easily digestible and tactically useful way, makes him the ideal coach and mentor for those simply looking to become the best versions of themselves.

-Dr. Jason Tanoory, DDS

"The lighthouse for so many people"

I can't express enough how impactful your event was for me and for my team members. Thank you for the constant provocation to expand our thinking, the continual effort to coach me to push through my own roadblocks and to encourage me to become a better version of myself. You continue to be the lighthouse for so many people. The entire weekend was fantastic (please pass along my appreciation to the team) and I'm grateful I was able to be a part of the whole weekend this time. Thanks again and cheers!

-Dr. Branden Goetsch, DDS

"Helped me avoid a catastrophic mistake!"

"Thank you for helping me avoid a catastrophic mistake. My associate [and I] had a GREAT conversation. We both are on the same page to develop a solid, long term, win/win associateship aiming for us to be career partners. Thanks for your guidance!!!"

- Dr. Matt S. DDS

Does this sound familiar?

  • You found a rockstar and now you're terrified of losing them. Your best producer is killing it, and somewhere along the way "how do I keep this person?" quietly became "should I make them a partner?" So you're circling the equity conversation, half-convinced that handing over a piece is the only way to lock them in. But something feels off, and you can't name it. Here's what your gut already knows: giving away equity to keep someone just buys you less of what you already have.

  • You've heard the horror stories, so you've quietly decided you'll never have a partner. Every dinner with an old classmate seems to surface another partnership slowly strangling someone's business; the resentment, the deadlock, the lawyer's kids' tuition. So you've made a private vow to go it alone, building everything on your own back. But deep down you suspect you're leaving real growth on the table out of fear. You don't actually have a problem with partners. You have a problem with unqualified partners, and no framework to tell the difference.

  • You own the practice but somehow it still owns you. You built this thing for the lifestyle. That was the whole point. And yet here you are, still in the chair forty, fifty hours a week, the calendar bleeding into evenings and weekends, the practice quietly impossible to leave for more than a few days without it wobbling. You've got the income. You've got the title. What you don't have is a Tuesday afternoon that belongs to you. Here's the hard truth nobody says out loud: a business that can't run without you isn't an asset, it's a job with extra paperwork and the only way out is building people you can actually hand the keys to. You didn't work this hard to buy yourself a cage. You did it to buy yourself time.

Don't worry, these problems are remarkably solvable.

"Working with Alastair was a gamechanger"

"I've worked with Alastair for a while now. For those considering this, just do it! Alastair takes reams of information and distills it down into actionable wisdom. You won't be disappointed. It's been a game changer for me."

-Dr. Aaron Nicolas, DDS

"Catastrophic mistake avoided"

"Hey my friend! Wanted to report in a HUGE success and thank you for helping me avoid a catastrophic mistake. If you remember our conversation last month about my associate trial partner. We had a GREAT conversation about what he wants, what I want, and how to get there. We both are on the same page to develop a solid, long term, win/win associateship aiming for us to be career partners. Thanks for your guidance!!!"

-Dr. Matt S., DDS

"Freeing and expansive in scope"

"I originally sought out Alastair for advice regarding a partnership I was working on. In working with Alastair, I've realized a lot of what I was seeking was clarity about what I was already feeling. Some of the finer points of business have been good pieces for me to learn, but the way to ACT while doing business has been far and away the biggest take away from our work together. He has given me permission to be who I really am and let that come through in all my ventures, rather than trying to fit into a prescribed system someone else created for who THEY really are. It has been freeing and expansive in scope."

-Dr. Michelle Jorgensen, DDS

The longer you wait to do this. The greater your need will be.

It will never be cheaper than now ...

You keep telling yourself you'll have the hard conversations later. You want to get to know them first. You don't want to make it weird. So the questions that actually matter (how do they spend, what's their vision, what happens if one of you wants out) keep getting pushed down the road. The trouble is, every one of those conversations gets more expensive the longer you wait, until one day you're fully entangled with someone you were never aligned with. These talks will never be cheaper than now, and the docs who win at this are simply the ones willing to do the hard work while it's still easy.

"The group saved our practice."

"Alastair is the coach you've been looking for."

"In the first 18 months of our working together he helped me take my business from $800,000 to a $2M a year business." - Dr. Peter Dinh, DDS

"I needed an upgrade to my system."

"Time freedom is the best part of this group; I can spend a lot more time with my family now than I ever have, and I just feel upgraded every time I see these people." - Dr. Umang Patel, DDS

"He has fundamentally changed my life."

"I joined a group thinking that I would get all the answers on how to run a practice.  And then I found Alistair and Alistair taught me how to run my life." - Dr. Dan Cohen, DDS

Who's This Perfect For?

your practice can't run without you — and you're ready to change that.

you know growth-at-all-costs eventually costs everything — and you're ready to build the partnership that protects what comes next.

Your patients ask for you by name — and you know the wrong partner can undo two decades of trust in a single quarter.

you're ready to build a life by choice, not obligation.

you've been the only load-bearing wall for too long and you're ready to share the load.

you've spent two decades earning a reputation for excellence and you're finally ready to share it with someone who'll protect, extend, and carry it forward.

Who This is NOT For

You believe a tight contract can do the work of a real relationship. It can't, and it won't.

You're hoping a partner will quietly fix the conversations you've been avoiding for years. We'll teach you how to have them — not how to outsource them.

you think a partial sale to a partner is where the real money is made. If you're looking to take the money and run, you're shopping at the wrong store.

you treat partnership as an event to be engineered. Partnership isn't a structure — it's a living organism, and you can't optimize one of those with a checklist.

STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't see your question answered here, reach out at [email protected]

I'm not in a partnership yet. Is this too early for me?

It's the opposite. The most expensive partnership mistakes are made before anyone signs anything — in the assumptions, the unspoken expectations, the structure of the deal itself. By the time you're trying to fix a partnership, you're rebuilding the house while it's on fire. This training is the work that prevents the fire.

How is this different from working with an attorney or a broker?

Attorneys write contracts. Brokers find buyers. Neither of them is responsible for whether your partnership thrives five years from now. This training operates on the layer that determines that — the human, structural, and incentive design that contracts can document but never create. The legal piece is the last 10%, and it only protects what you've already built well.

I'm already in a partnership that isn't working. Is it too late?

Probably not — but the math gets harder the longer you wait. Most partnership abrasions aren't legal problems. They're design problems: incentives that drifted, expectations that were never made explicit, contributions that quietly stopped getting reciprocated. Alastair has walked owners through exactly this work, and the right starting point depends on where things actually stand. Reach out to [email protected] to share your situation and we'll help you determine whether this cohort is the right fit — or whether something else would serve you better.

I haven't found a partner yet. Is this still for me?

Especially for you. The most expensive partnership mistakes are made before a partner is ever chosen — owners hire on likability, mistaking affinity for qualification, and only realize the cost a decade later. This training gives you the framework to know exactly who you're looking for, what you're not, and how to recognize the difference before you've committed years to the wrong person. You'll leave with clarity on the profile that fits your practice, your identity, and the life you're building — and the discipline to wait for them.

What should I actually expect to walk away with after sixteen weeks?

Clarity on what a real partnership requires and what it doesn't. A working understanding of the structures, incentives, and conversations that determine whether yours will compound or corrode. The language to have the hard conversations most partnerships avoid until it's too late. And, for some, the confidence to walk away from a deal that was going to cost them far more than the price of admission. Plus a partnership blueprint you can take right to your attorney's office for review.

Can my future partner go through this with me (or should they)?

This cohort is built for owners by design. You'll leave equipped to lead every conversation that matters — structuring the deal, designing incentives, navigating the hard talks, and walking your future partner through what you've built and why. To accelerate their alignment, you'll also receive Alastair's Associate Indoctrination training as a bonus: a dedicated resource you can send directly to your partner that brings them up to speed on the philosophy, language, and frameworks you'll be operating from. By the time you sit down together, you're not starting from zero. You're starting from shared ground.

"A partnership contract is a snapshot of the market, goals, risks, knowledge, capabilities and incentives of a relationship today. Every one of those things will change in time. Partnerships breakdown because they do not account for change. Behavior answers to incentives. Always. Ignore this and your partnership is doomed at the signing. Account for this and your entire future changes. Let's build yours together."
- Alastair Macdonald
